The tavern keeper is busying himself with cleaning some glasses, but mostly idly, seeing as there isn't too much for him to do at the moment...
Mochius rolls a 13 +5, for a total of 18, succeeding!
The tavern keeper perks up a bit as Mochius approaches, glad for someone to talk to. "Well howdy there, why don't you take a seat. All you adventurers in town has been nice, but it gets kinda noisy huh?" He places the tankard he was polishing on the bar. "I hope that someone out of all of y'all can finally get rid of this beast, that old castle used to be such a nice quiet place to get some peace and quiet. I didn't go too deep inside myself back in the day, but there was a cellar door the kids used to sneak in through..."
Mochius lets out a small sigh of relief when she realizes she's gotten the inn keeper to chat with her. She was sure he'd be able to help!
Her ears perk up and she leans in excitedly when he mentions a cellar door. "A door? You wouldn't happen to remember where it was, would you?" Before she realizes it, her paws are flat on the bar and she's leaning as far as her body would allow. Calm down! she scolds herself. She straightens herself as casually as possible. She hopes she hasn't freaked the inn keeper out.
Smiling, she decides to roll Tail again, just in case.
The tavern keeper listens as Mochius asks some questions, for a moment he's distracted by a loud noise in the tavern behind her...
Mochius rolls a 10 +5, for a 15, succeeding!!
but he turns back to her, giving a small smile. "Hmmmm, let me see if I can remember...." he replied, leaning an elbow on the bar, *"As I said it has been a while, and that castle kinda looks similar all around. But, if I recall properly, there was a patch of bright red flowers nearby that you can't miss!"
Mochius is overjoyed when she realizes the innkeeper was distracted just in time to miss her eager outburst.
"Red flowers?" She repeats thoughtfully. This time, she remembers to rein in her enthusiasm and nods. "Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!" She places a shiny coin on the bar and slides it across to him as a small tip before turning and gliding her way back to the table.
She hopes she'll be even more of an asset to her team now. Peering around at the Pupps chattering throughout the room, she wonders if anyone else in her party has managed to gather any other useful information. She's sure they have! She wriggles excitedly, eager to continue their adventure.
