As Bijou slithered into the tavern, the bard caught her eye—more specifically, his tip jar. She debates trying to swipe it, but the crowd he has gathered was too large and too focused on him. There was no way she could get away with it.
Feeling a bit bummed she couldn’t snag some change, she headed to the bar where the local farmers sat. Might as well try to get any hint as to where the lair might be, as that was the real treasure. She surveyed the group and notices the eldest. She radiates old lady energy and Bijou hopes she gossips like one.
Bijou cozied up at the bar and started fiddling with an old newspaper she found. She perked her ears towards the farmers.
[Bijou would like to roll Nose to see if she can gather any information from the farmers]
The tavern is quite loud with all the music and chatter, but the farmers are talking quite loudly as well...
Bijou rolls a 5 +3 for a total of 8, failing!!
Unfortunately, the farmers seem to be focused on discussing the local harvest. Bijou can make out some talk about potatoes and carrots, but not much gossip. However, the newspaper that she happens to be using for cover has an interesting article about a local who tried to get into the beasts lair...
The local farm boy is recorded as stating he was able to find the ancient castle in the woods, and was searching for a way inside when he was chased away by the beast returning to its lair. "It was huge!" the farm boy said, "It had multiple heads and sharp teeth and claws! I got out of there as quick as I could!"
