Raine is a bit embarrassed, faltering at the thought, but appreciates the Tavern Keeper still talking to her after her failed start to the conversation. Her mask falls a bit and her demeanor becomes a bit more sarcastic and relaxed in tone.
"Ah, I certainly do appreciate the tip. And I can't say I'm much for all the noise myself, I hope things return to normal soon for you all. Last thing anyone needs is a bunch of disruption, especially if they're making a mess..."
Raine startles, hearing a table flip at the other side of the Tavern. Her ears flatten, and the Tavern Keeper's face sours. "See miss, that's exactly what I'm talking about." he says. "I shouldn't keep your attention any longer it seems. I best be on my way...is there any way I could help though, before I leave? The least I could do for the information you gave me. Good turn deserves another and all that."
Raine at this point is playing with some of her tools in a back pocket, but certainly no one deserves a dagger to cut off a hanging wallet today. Still have to play nice out here in public, she thinks... even if some of these adventurers seem to have it coming.
She rolls again, using her Tail stat, to see if this can allow become a bit more friendly with the Tavern Keeper and if he'll accept her offer of aid.
(EDIT: I edited cause I goofed up the italics, nothing else changed ahaha)
The tavern keeper lays one of the tankards he was washing on a mat to dry, cringing slightly as he hears the table crash, though he continues to listen to Raine...
Raine rolls a 17 + 3, for a 20, succeeding!
"Well, thank you young lady, but that's not necessary," he replies, his expression softening, "It'll be alright, even with all the rowdiness, things aren't too out of hand." He chuckled a bit, watching as the dice playing pups started to scramble around to pick up their coins off the floor.
The tavern keeper snorted, "Well, if you'd really like to help, come and help me grab all these mugs for cleanin'." The tavern keeper steps out from behind the bar, gesturing for Raine to follow.
"Certainly, I'd be happy to help. Thank you again."
As my mother always told me, leaving a place better than you found it can only endear yourself to others... and that's a prize all its own. Never would know when you might need a contact. Raine smiled to herself at the thought.
She followed the tavern keeper and started to look for various mugs left unattended by their original loaners, spotting them at both tables near and far. This might take a little while, she thought.
She rolls using her Paw stat to see just how quick she can make this gathering job for the Tavern Keeper, as she did have a place to be on her quest. Hopefully faster than slower, for sure!
After the table flip, the area is quite a mess, but luckily some of the other pupps have also been starting to clean up...
Raine rolls a 17 + 5, for a total of 22, succeeding!
With her quick paws, Raine is able to pick up a large number of mugs at the same time, delivering them to the bar. The tavern keeper is looks surprised upon walking back over to the table, having headed back to grab a mop, and finding most of the mess tidied up already.
"Well color me impressed young lady," he says, "Your next drink's on the house."
