Raine, surprised at the sudden realization, is particularly thankful that she was able to get things going with the light.
"Hello- everyone, there's a section of the wall that's an illusion!" she calls out in her loudest voice, realizing only too late she maybe shouldn't have yelled out... but not getting a response either.
She pressed into the faux wall and it gave way, allowing her passage further in, torch illuminating her new exit.
Fearful that something is looming farther down and was alerted by her yell, she rolls using her Nose stat to promise a safe entry into the new location. She's ready to speed away, but without perceiving the area just right she's in for a possible surprise if she's unlucky. Her dagger is at the ready.
Raine rolls a 16 +0, for a total of 16, succeeding!
Raine is careful though, and is able to detect some movement just behind her. With her early detection and quick reflexes, she's able to reel around, coming face to face with a large and menacing spider, which jumps up menacingly.
Thanks to Raine's quick thinking, she's able to get the first strike, but her foe isn't quite vanquished yet...
"I knew it wouldn't be this simple." She sighs and sets up against the spider, gaining space between it and herself. They square off, exchanging jabs- Raine being able to dodge them again and again. However, the spider is dodging them as well, and it seems they'll both tire soon if ground isn't had on one side or another.
She needs the speed and accuracy to land a blow with her dagger, she rolls using her Paws stat to try and get that critical hit and move to the final rooms of this place!

Raine rolls a 19 +5, for a total of 24, succeeding!
But Raine is quicker than her eight legged foe. After trading blows for a few moments, Raine finally lands a decisive blow, causing the spider to collapse in a heap.
The new hall that Raine finds herself in is quiet again, bit this time nothing seems to be lurking. She can see the end of the hallway ahead, and has a feeling that she's neared the beast...
