[BPMF] Juniper and Tabitha Prepare for the Show

Juniper (he/him) and Tabitha (she/they) prepare for their gig but Tabitha is a little bit nervous.

“Hey Juniper?”

“yeah?”, the gray pup looked over, eyes peeking out from under the floof of hair.

“I’m really nervous about this. What if we do awful?”. The brown and orange pup hid behind their hat.

“Hey, don’t let yourself over think it. It’s just meant to be a fun event for all, no matter how good you are. And we are great together. The concert set will go great!”, Juniper reassured Tabitha.

“You sure?”

“Always”

Juniper had seen the flyer for the Bark Bark Music Festival a few weeks back and was interested. He plays the guitar and has been meeting up with Tabitha off an on to work on just practicing. This seemed like the perfect opportunity for them to show off their skills. Tabitha does the vocals and Juniper backs her up with the guitar. The only hitch is that Tabitha was already nervous about singing with Juniper and getting them to do a public concert may be a bit hard. A few weeks go by and slowly they had been practicing together and Tabitha had gained so much confidence! Only challenge was getting over the stage fright.

Juniper didn’t want to full admit to himself either that he also was a bit nervous to perform. He had however pushed that away and put all that anxiety into helping Tabitha. The time was getting closer. Juniper felt his heartbeat faster and faster. He took a deep breath and recentered himself. He had to do this. It would be fun! They just had to start playing to get over the anxiety.

“You’re up next”, a stage manager called to the two of them. Tabitha looked Juniper in the eyes and they both knew it. They could do this together. They both walked on stage, with Juniper bringing his guitar. They quickly set up. Juniper took a deep breath in, and took a strum. The lights, are on, the show  has begun.
